Ferreira (Argentine) and Neuman (Luxembourg) met in Argentina in 2001 when they were carrying out their university studies in translation and fine arts respectively. After that they moved to London where they continued their studies, Ferreira in Fashion Design at London College of Fashion and Neuman in Filmmaking at London Film School. Belle Sauvage was launched in 2006 at the Fashion and Textile Museum in London. The designer duo works from both London as well as Luxembourg.

Belle Sauvage is characterized by bold colours, striking prints, sexy silhouettes and comfortable fabrics like stretchy cotton, jersey and leather.

Neuman and Ferreira work together in all aspects of the design process from gathering ideas- to the details of the finished garments. Neuman's talent in illustration and drawing is seen in Belle Sauvage prints, which then apply to Ferreira's strong, sexy, colourful and loud style of dressing.

"Our garments are our drawings, paintings and illustrations - our art. When the Belle Sauvage woman wears our garments, this art comes to life. The woman brings the canvas of art to life, without leaving the everyday streetwear functionality behind".
